Athens, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2010) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short in their regular season finale as they fell 2-1 to Tennessee Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon in Athens, Tenn.

The Bulldogs jumped out quickly as they got on the board in the opening minute. TWC added to their lead in the 27th minute of the game when Josh Simnett found the net to put the Bulldogs up 2-0 at the half. The Buffs kept fighting, and broke onto the scoreboard in the 79th minute when Nimely Robertson (Liberia) scored unassisted. Milligan, however, was unable to score in the closing minutes to tie the game.

Defensively, Alex Haun (Strawberry Plains, TN) recorded six saves in the game.

With the loss, Milligan ends the regular season with a record of 7-9 overall and 4-3 in AAC action.

The Buffs will open the AAC tournament on Saturday, Nov. 6.
