Daytona Beach, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2011) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team saw
Chris Ochineg (Nairobi, Kenya) score four goals to propel the Buffaloes past Northwood University at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Sunday afternoon.

  Milligan got on the board first when
Nahom Tekle (Louisville, Ky.) knocked in an Ochieng pass in the 31
st minute. Ochieng knocked in his first goal of the day in the 44
th minute to send the Buffaloes into the half with a 2-0 lead.
ÂÂ
  Ochieng struck again in the 60
th minute with an unassisted goal. After Joe Hughes scored Northwood's lone goal in the 73
rd minute, Ochieng knocked in an unassisted goal in the 79
th minute, and scored off a Tekle pass in the 82
nd minute to cap the scoring.

  Defensively,
Alex Haun (Knoxville, Tenn.) recorded nine saves in the contest.

  “It was definitely nice to bounce back on the final day of the trip and get the win,” Head Coach
Adam Laney said. “It was nice to see Chris play well. It was also nice to see the team step up and come back after getting knocked down on Friday.”

  With the win, Milligan improves to 9-4 overall, while Northwood, who has spent much of the season ranked nationally before falling out last week, drops to 7-3-1.

  The Buffaloes return to action when they host AAC foe Bryan College on Wednesday, Oct. 19, in a clash of teams atop the conference standings. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
