Wise, Va. (Oct. 17, 2012) --- The Milligan College tennis teams picked up a pair of victories over former Appalachian Athletic Conference foe UVA-Wise on Wednesday evening in Wise, Va. The Milligan men picked up a 9-0 victory while the women won 8-1.
 
   On the men's side, Carlton Tugman (Mountain City, Tenn.) picked up a 3-6, 7-6, 10-4 victory over Zack Holcomb in singles. Wade Tugman (Mountain City, Tenn.) also picked up a victory in singles as he defeated Michael Baker 1-6, 6-1, 10-4. Caleb Fridell (Ooltewah, Tenn.) also won his singles matchup with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Chase Cupp.
 
   On the women's side, Rachel Hodas (Knoxville, Tenn.) defeated Mary Jo Stallard 6-1, 6-1, while Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.) won her matchup against Melissa Buchanan 6-2, 6-0. Ahmee Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) picked up a 5-7, 6-1, 10-7 victory over Lauren Powers.
 
   The Milligan men will return to action on Friday, Oct. 19, as they host rival King College. The match is slated for a 2 p.m., start at Mathes Tennis Center.
