Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 24, 2012) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short in a nonconference thriller as they fell 4-3 in overtime to Tusculum College on Wednesday night at Anglin Field.

  The Pioneers opened the scoring early as Stephen McNeil found the goal in the 10
th minute. Milligan was unable to capitalize on early chances to tie the game. The Buffaloes, however, tied the game in the 37
th minute as
Lewis Grant (Edinburgh, Scotland) scored off an assist from
Chris Ochieng (Nairobi, Kenya). Tusculum jumped back in front in the 43
rd minute as Nduka Kemjika scored to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead at the half.

 The Buffaloes quickly evened the score in the 51
st minute as
Nimely Robertson (Liberia) beat the Pioneer keeper.
Nahom Tekle (Ethiopia) gave Milligan the lead with his goal in the 66
th minute, but Tusculum tied the match 78
th minute with a Roberto Pimentel goal. Neither team was able to take advantages in the remainder of regulation as the game went into overtime.

  In the overtime period, Andre Bissmark took full advantage of a penalty kick to kick the Pioneers to a 4-3 victory in the 91
st minute.

  With the loss, Milligan falls to 9-5 overall and remain at 6-1 in conference play.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, as they host Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt University at Anglin Field. With a Milligan victory, the Buffaloes will claim the AAC regular season title outright. Match time is set for 4:30 p.m. ÂÂ
