Mars Hill, N.C. (Feb. 9, 2012) --- The Milligan College tennis programs came up short to NCAA Division II opponent Mars Hill College on Thursday afternoon in Mars Hill, N.C. The women dropped a heartbreaking 5-4 decision to the Lady Lions, while the men's squad fell 9-0.
 
   On the women's side, Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) narrowly fell to Ericka Pinate in No. 1 singles. Kelly fought hard in the match, but fell 7-6, 7-5. Hallie Winfrey (Fayetteville, Ga.) also picked up a singles victory against Jordan Dockery by a score of 6-0, 6-1.
 
   In doubles action, Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Kelly picked up a victory over Anna Rickenbaker and Jazqueline Rougett 8-2.
 
   Both squads return to action on Friday, Feb. 17, when they travel to Tusculum College. Game time in Greeneville, Tenn., is slated for 2:30 p.m.
