Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Milligan men's soccer unable to hold off Lions

Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2013) â€" The Milligan College men's soccer team fell in an exciting Appalachian Athletic Conference competition against number one ranked, Bryan College, 3-0.*

The first half was all defense for the Buffaloes in their bout against Bryan. The Lions kept the Buffaloes in their defensive end for most of the first half recording nine shots and a goal while the Buffaloes recorded three shots.

The Buffaloes struggled keeping the ball out of their own zone in the second half. Buffalo goalie, Dan Ball (Chatham, England) had a couple of crucial saves on the night but the Buffaloes were unable to hold off the attacking Lion's offense. A couple of Milligan break-away attempts seemed to give life to the Milligan offense but was soon taken away by two additional Bryan goals. The Buffaloes were unable to answer for the remainder of the half giving Bryan the win 3-0.

Nimley Robertson (Liberia) recorded three shots on the night while Andre Ottoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Anthony Matekenya (Harare, Zimbawe), and Ryan Reilly (Maryville, Tenn.) each had one shot on goal for the night.
