Milligan men's tennis falls in NAIA/AAC Direct Qualifier final

Atlanta, Ga. (April 21, 2013) --- The Milligan College men's tennis came up short in the final of the NAIA/AAC Direct Qualifier on Sunday afternoon as they fell 5-2 to nationally ranked Xavier University in Atlanta, Ga.
 
   The Buffaloes saw the duo of Sebastian Jonnson (Lysekill, Sweden) and Jackson Lenoir (Chattanooga, Tenn.) were edged at No. 1 doubles, while Andy Pullen (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Colin Bumann (Abilene, Tex.) fell 8-2 at No. 2 doubles. Mickey Brown (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Caleb Fridell (Ooltewah, Tenn.) earned a point by default at No. 3 doubles.
 
   In singles, Jonnson came up short at No. 1 singles, while Pullen and Bumann were edged in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Milligan picked up a point by default at No. 6 singles.
 
   The Buffaloes finished the season with a 9-12 overall record. Milligan went a perfect 3-0 in AAC action to capture the first regular season title in program history.
