Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's soccer denied by Tennessee Wesleyan, 4-1

ATHENS, Tenn. (Oct. 29, 2014) â€" Tapiwa Kaseke provided the Milligan College men's soccer team with a late goal in the team's Appalachian Athletic Conference regular season finale, but it was not enough as the Buffaloes fell to Tennessee Wesleyan College 4-1 on Wednesday.

With the loss, Milligan's streak of back-to-back victories was snapped, and the Buffaloes fell to 6-8-2 (3-6 AAC), where they stand as the seventh-place team in the league. Tennessee Wesleyan won its third straight and fifth in the last six games on the way to a 9-6-1 (5-3 AAC) record, enough for fifth place in the conference standings.

Kaseke's goal was his team-leading 10th goal of this season and came in the 66th minute on an assist by Cole Lewis. By then, the host Bulldogs were already ahead 3-0 as Nduka Kemjika scored a pair in a four-minute span early in the second half after Laurence Hutchinson provided Tennessee Wesleyan with the match-winner in the 16th minute.

Hutchinson also struck twice for the Bulldogs, scoring the game's final goal midway through the second half.

Milligan was outshot 21-10, including 13-6 in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Dan Ball matched his season high of eight saves, and Nick Smith, who tended Milligan's net for the final nine minutes, made one save.

Milligan closes out the regular season in nonconference action on Saturday against No. 13 Georgia Gwinnett College. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Anglin Field.
