MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 26, 2014) â€" A clean sweep of AAC foe Union College on the women's side and an 8-1 win on the men's side helped the Milligan College tennis teams snap a two-match skid Wednesday at the Mathes Tennis Center.

Milligan's women (10-4, 2-0 AAC) won all nine points without dropping a game. Two doubles tandem Sarah Rainwater and Caroline Morelli improved their doubles record to 9-2 when playing together this spring by beating Glenna Young and Kacee Jo Bargo 8-0 before turning around to beat a new pair in singles.

Rainwater improved to 9-2 in singles action this season. All of her victories have come in straight sets.

Milligan's men (7-7, 1-1 AAC), after winning all three doubles points, breezed through the middle of the singles lineup as Fernando Gonzalez and Jackson Lenoir posted 6-0, 6-0 wins at three and four singles, and Alex Delozier won 6-1, 6-0 at five. Courts one and six were forced into third-set super tiebreakers, and Union picked up its lone point with Louis Molina's 10-8 victory over Colin Bumann.

Milligan will host SCAD Atlanta on Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the Mathes Tennis Center in the final home match of the season. SCAD's women, the reigning AAC regular season champions, rank No. 14 in the latest NAIA coaches' top 25 poll.
