Men's tennis season ends in AAC semis

DECATUR, Ga. (April 11, 2014) â€" The Milligan College men's tennis team's Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament efforts fell short in the semifinals as the Buffaloes were beaten by SCAD Atlanta 5-0 at the Dekalb Tennis Center on Friday.
 
Milligan (9-10, 2-3 AAC) advanced to the semifinals with a 5-2 win over Point University in the early match of the day.
 
Colin Bumann, Fernando Gonzalez and Jackson Lenoir at two, three and four singles rounded out the scoring for the Buffaloes in the first match after Milligan took two of the three doubles decisions. Each won in straight sets without dropping more than four games.
 
In the semifinals, Milligan was swept through the doubles 8-2, 8-4, and 8-2 and didn't fare much better in singles. SCAD clinched the match with straight sets wins over Matias Yanez at one singles and Alex Delozier at six singles.
