MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Nov. 1, 2016) â€" The Milligan College men's soccer team hosted the St. Andrews Knights on Tuesday night in the opening round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament. Despite defeating St. Andrews in the regular season, the Buffaloes fell 2-0.

Milligan (6-11, 2-7 AAC) created opportunities in the first half, but failed to capitalize. The Buffs outshot the Knights 5-4 in the first half.

With just under 20 minutes left in the first half, Reuben Vaca of St. Andrews scored the first goal of the game off of a penalty kick.

A few minutes later,
Luis de la Torre made a cross-field pass to
Zana Ali who sailed a header just over the crossbar.

St. Andrews took the 1-0 lead into the half.
ÂÂ
The two teams exchanged possessions for much of the second half, neither making the most of their chances. With 9:53 on the clock, St. Andrews' Julio Rico doubled the Knights' lead.

The Buffaloes end their season with a 6-11 record and will look to rebound next season.
