MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Sept. 5, 2016) â€" Milligan College faced off against Faulkner University for the second time of the season. While the venue was different, the outcome was the same with the Buffaloes falling 3-1 to the Eagles.

Milligan (1-3-0, 0-0-0 AAC) played solid defense for the majority of the game and both teams were scoreless going into the final 10 minutes. Costandinos Whitehead of Faulkner scored the game's first goal 80 minutes in. The Buffaloes responded immediately with a goal from Zana Ali which was assisted by Josh Willard.

That would be Milligan's only goal and Faulkner scored two more goals in the final minutes to pull away 3-1.

Goalkeeper Nick Smith had a solid game with five saves.

Milligan returns to action on Friday at the University of the Cumberlands and stays on the road next week against Johnson University on the following Thursday.
