MILLIGAN, Tenn. (September 29, 2022) – The Milligan University men's tennis team opened its fall season with a 4-3 defeat to UVA Wise at the Mathes Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

Milligan took the doubles point with wins a Gabrijel Kajic and Marcos Moreno earning a 6-4 victory at second doubles and Juan Camilo Burgos and Justin Rigsby combining for a 6-1 triumph at No. 3 doubles .

Rigsby took a 6-1, 6-2 win at fifth singles and Derian Janeke emerged with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 three-set win at No. 6 singles.

Ryan Thomas, Kajic and Burgos Torres went to third sets at second, third and fourth singles, but UVA Wise emerged victorious in all three matchups to take the match 4-3.

Milligan continues its fall campaign at Tusculum on Oct 16.
