Women's Tennis defeated by (RV) Brenau 5-2

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (March 25, 2023) – The Milligan University women's tennis team fell 5-2 in a competitive match at Breanu on Saturday afternoon.

The Buffs fall to 6-8 on the season and 2-3 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. Brenau, who received votes in the most recent edition of the NAIA national ranks, moves to 7-5, 5-2 AAC.

Sophie Dunman and Tiana Shelton took a 6-2 win at third doubles while Brenau earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. In the top doubles flight, Brenau edged the Buffs 7-6 (13-11) as Kaitlin Barrett and Camryn Rossa went down swinging in a lengthy tiebreaker.

Rossa took a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles and Kylie Enarson won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Heather Graf went to a third set but fell 6-0, 6-7, 6-4.

Women's tennis returns home for an AAC match against Point on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
