Buffs Women's Tennis Drops AAC Semifinal Tilt Against Tennessee Wesleyan

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Milligan University women's tennis had their Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament Semifinal matchup against the Tennessee Wesleyan University Bulldogs on Friday afternoon at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. Though the Buffaloes fell to the highest seeded team in the tourney, they stayed competitive in the 4-0 loss.

In doubles, Sophie Dunman and Marta Miralles were leading 5-4 in the No. 1 matchup, while the No. 2 and 3 battles went the way of the Bulldogs to give them the point.

Miralles was stellar again in singles, leading 6-4, 2-1 in match No. 3. Dunman began strongly in the No. 2 singles match, falling just 6-4 in the first set, while sitting tied at 1-1 in the second. After falling 6-0 to begin her match, Lee Anne Endler was trailing 4-1 in the second set No. 1 bout. The Bulldogs took singles matches No. 4, 5 and 6 to win, 4-0.

Milligan's season comes to an end after the loss, as the squad will use the loss aginst TWU to fuel them into the 2025-26 campaign.
