GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday at noon, The College Sports Communicators (CSC) revealed the Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America© Teams. The Milligan University women's track & field/cross country program saw their standout, Ellen-Mary Kearney, named to the NAIA Academic All-America© First Team for the first time in her career with the Buffs.
Kearney, the owner of a 3.81 cumulative GPA in the Exercise Science program, was wildly impressive in her junior year on the cross country course and the track, alike. During the fall, she helped Milligan's cross country squad to a fourth-place finish at nationals with a fifth-place individual showing. In the winter, during indoor track season, Kearney greatly increased her acclaim with a national title run in the 3000m. It was her first individual national title in her career. In the spring, she continued to run well, posting a national runner-up finish at the Outdoor National Championships in the 1500m. She is now a nine-time NAIA All-American after completing the trifecta and being an All-American in every season in 2024-25.
