GREENWOOD, Ind. - On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators (CSC) uncovered their 2025-26 At-Large Academic All-District honorees. Milligan University had nine student-athletes across five teams earn recognition on the list, including athletes from women's bowling, men's bowling, competitive cheer, women's golf and men's golf.

Milligan saw Emily Cheesman (WBOWL), Emily King (WBOWL), Jackson McRae (MBOWL), Cameron Shockey (MBOWL), Xander Stephens (MBOWL), Macie Blevins (CHEER), Catalina Easley (WGOLF), Madison Butler (WGOLF) and Manuel Gutierrez (MGOLF) named to the At-Large Academic All-District squad this year. Cheesman will also be considered for CSC Academic All-America honors.

Cheesman completed her degree in Nursing at Milligan with a 3.69 GPA. She was named an NAIA Second-Team All-American this season and was among the most prolific scorers in the nation on the lanes for the fourth straight year. In addition, Cheesman was named to the five-person SSAC Scholar-Athlete Team for the second straight year.

King was another member of Milligan's top-five ranked squad all year long, helping the squad to a top ranking of No. 1 in the nation during the season. She has a 3.91 cumulative GPA after her junior year at Milligan while double majoring in Psychology and Social Work.

McRae was an important piece of the Milligan men's bowling squad's success in 2025-26. As one of a trio of seniors who played large roles on the varsity squad, he finished school with a 3.75 GPA while double majoring in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. He was a All-SSAC Second Team honoree and also was a member of the SSAC Scholar-Athlete Team.

Shockey had a very similar season to McRae, being honored as a All-SSAC Second Team honoree and a SSAC Scholar Athlete Team member. He received a degree in Computer Science with a 3.79 cumulative GPA during his time on the lanes for the Buffaloes across four years.

Stephens was the third senior of the trio that helped the men's bowling squad snatch a bid to the USBC ITC Championships this season. He boasted a perfect 4.00 GPA upon graduation in May, while picking up degrees in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.

Blevins, a sophomore member of the competitive cheer squad, sports a 3.85 GPA in the Nursing program at Milligan. She was a part of the squad that set a program-best routine score (75.47) at the SSAC Championships this season.

Easley, a member of Milligan's No. 20-ranked women's golf outfit, is now through her first two years with a 3.91 GPA in the Nursing program. On top of that she placed in the top 15 at the AAC Championships this season and tied for 36^th at the NAIA National Championships.

Butler, who is also a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, was the second member of the women's golf team to be honored by CSC. She has a strong 3.89 cumulative GPA mark in the Accounting program at MU. After placing 15^th at the AAC Championships, she ended up 82^nd for the squad at the NAIA Championships.

Gutierrez, the men's golf team's honoree, has compiled a 3.77 GPA across two full years at Milligan. The Computer Science major tied for 13^th at this season's AAC Championships in Acworth, Ga., helping the squad to a runner-up finish for the first time since the 2022 Championships.

CSC's Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for the award, voted on by Athletic Communication professionals, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA or higher and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution. The NAIA's eligible "At-Large" sports are Competitive Cheer, Competitive Dance, Men's Bowling, Men's Golf, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Volleyball, Men's Wrestling, Women's Beach Volleyball, Women's Bowling, Women's Golf, Women's Lacrosse and Women's Wrestling.
