Jacklyn Talbert Barton graduated from Milligan in 2009 with a degree in human performance exercise science.
· Jacklyn was a five-time All-American during her time as a Cross Country and Track athlete at Milligan.
· She helped lead Milligan to a third-place team finish in the 2007 Cross Country National Championships, which stood as the highest national finish for a Milligan team until 2021.
· Jacklyn was a multiple-time Appalachian Athletic Conference champion and set conference and school records.
· She was a member of two relay squads that set Milligan records – the women’s 4x800-meter relay team that posted a time of 9:24.58 and a 2x1500-meter relay team that set a program-best mark of 19:53.02.
· She was a member of the women’s distance medley relay squad that advanced to the Indoor NAIA Championships in 2007 and 2008.
Since graduating from Milligan, Jacklyn has used her Milligan degree to serve others. She is currently a Physical Therapist Assistant for a home health company in upstate South Carolina, where she lives on a farm with her husband, Kyle, their two daughters, and her two stepsons.
Jaclyn enjoys running and hiking in her free time. She supports her kids as they compete in sports, takes care of the animals on her family’s farm, and is an active member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
