Milligan University

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Modig is a recent MBA graduate and proud former member of the Milligan University golf team. After beginning his collegiate golf career at Andrew College in Georgia, a shoulder injury sidelined him for five months during his sophomore year—a challenge that ultimately led him to discover Milligan, where he transferred and played three successful seasons.

During his time with the Buffaloes, Jakob earned a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration while continuing to stay actively involved with the golf team.

Now based in Johnson City, Jakob works full-time at the Johnson City Country Club and serves as the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s golf teams at Milligan. In his coaching role, he’s passionate about mentoring student-athletes and contributing to the continued growth and success of the program that helped shape his own collegiate journey.
