Francisco de Bethencourt enters his senior year with the Milligan men’s golf team following a historic junior campaign.

2025-26: De Bethencourt put together a phenomenal, historic season, taking medalist co-champion honors at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Direct Qualifier after carding 72-73-73 (+2) to tie for first and lead Milligan to a team runner-up finish. Qualifying as an individual for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, he made the cut and tied for 12th place overall. For his performances, de Bethencourt was selected as an NAIA Third-Team All-American, earned All-AAC First Team honors, two AAC Golfer of the Week selections and was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and AAC All-Academic selection.

2024-25: In his sophomore season, de Bethencourt established himself as one of Milligan's top contributors, headlined by capturing individual medalist honors at the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout after shooting a 3-under 141 (including a 5-under 67 in the final round).

2023-24: As a freshman, de Bethencourt gained initial collegiate tournament experience competing across multiple events for the Buffaloes.
