Clifton returns for his sophomore season with the Milligan men's cross-country program in 2026.

2025: Clifton made his collegiate debut at the Joe LaRocco Invitational, placing 13th in the 5K with a time of 16:47.10. He competed in two additional 5K races during his freshman campaign, recording times of 17:02.46 at the Meet at Montreat and 17:14.80 at the Third Annual Tornado Classic.
