Milligan University

Emils Matiass Reinfelds joins Milligan's men's cross country and men's track and field programs as a freshman for the 2026 season. Prior to Milligan, Reinfelds attended Riga 1st Distance Secondary School and competed under head coach Zigurds Kincis. He set the Latvian U18 national record in the 10000m at 31:13.42, represented Latvia at the European Youth Olympic Festival, European U18 Championships, and European Cross Country Championships U20 race, and earned five medals at the Senior National Championships. He has posted marks of 1:08:08 in the half marathon, 31:13.42 in the 10000m, 14:59.09 in the 5000m, 8:37.70 in the 3000m, and 6:03.24 in the 2000m steeplechase. Reinfelds plans to major in exercise science at Milligan. He is the son of Kaspars and Dace Reinfelds and has two siblings, Elvis and Gita. His grandmother, Ruta, competed in road cycling and placed third at the 1964 USSR Championships ITT.
