Biography

Javier Salgado joined the Buffs in 2025 after transferring in from State College of Florida and brings experience into his second season in 2026. The Cuernavaca, Mexico, native earned First Team All-AAC honors in his first season and has already contributed goals in high-stakes moments. In 2025, Javier joined his brother Johnny Salgado on the pitch as a family duo. Johnny previously spent two seasons on Milligan's men's soccer team. 

2025: Salgado appeared in 20 matches with six starts, scoring a goal with an assist for three points. His goal came in a 6-0 win over Bluefield on Sept. 24. In conference play, he made five starts across 11 appearances, scoring once.
