Biography

Hope Krell returns for her senior year with the Milligan women’s cross country team.

2025: As a junior, Krell competed in six cross country meets for the Buffs. She earned All-AAC First Team honors with a 7th-place finish at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Cross Country Championships, recording a 6k season-best time of 21:38.2. Krell represented Milligan at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships, placing 105th overall (22:56.2) to help lead the team to a national runner-up finish. She recorded top-25 finishes at the Eli Cramer Invitational (5th, 19:48.3 for 5k) and the NAIA Appalachian Challenge (23rd, 18:32.4) and added a 31st-place effort at the Queen City Invite (18:49.0). She also competed at the Fire Tower Project (39th, 22:48.7).

2024: During her sophomore cross country season, Krell earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete and AAC All-Academic honors. She competed in six meets for Milligan, earning All-AAC Second Team honors with an 11th-place finish at the AAC Cross Country Championships in a 6k season-best time of 22:30.9. Krell competed at the NAIA Cross Country Championships, placing 165th overall (23:05.1). She posted a 5k season best of 18:36.5 at the Live in Lou XC Classic (111th) and added top-15 finishes at the Brevard XC Classic (10th, 23:22.9) and the Eli Cramer Invitational (15th, 15:37.3 for 3.1 miles). She also competed at the Firetower Project CC (54th, 22:49.7).

2023: As a freshman, Krell earned AAC All-Academic honors while competing in six cross country meets. She finished 17th at the AAC Cross Country Championships with a 6k time of 23:18.4. Krell represented the Buffs at the NAIA Cross Country Championships, finishing 208th overall (23:53.3). She logged a 5k season best of 18:50.0 at the Live in Lou XC Classic (127th) and recorded top-25 finishes at the Eli Cramer Invitational (14th, 15:34.9 for 3.1 miles) and the NAIA Appalachian Challenge (23rd, 19:12.7). She opened her season placing 37th at the Fire Tower Project (23:37.3).
