Defensively, freshman Heather Crumplen (Courtice, Ontario) made four saves for the night, keeping the Lady Bulldogs' score at zero. Crumplen notched her fourth shutout of the season.
“I think we worked hard and ground out a result,” said head coach Lisa Buckley. “I feel that we are in a good position as we near the end of the regular season. We are at a point to decide our own fate, which is exactly what we want.”
The Lady Buffs will travel to play Bryan College (Dayton, Tenn.) for their next match. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
