Banner Elk, N.C. (Oct. 28, 2009) --- The Milligan College  women's soccer team battled NCAA Division II Lees-McRae College Wednesday night  in a non-conference matchup. After two overtime periods, the Lady Buffs and Lady  Bobcats were at a 0-0 deadlock, resulting in a tie.
AAC defensive player  of the week, Heather Crumplen (Courtice, Ontario) recorded  three saves to keep the Lady Bobcats scoreless.
“I thought we played a  smart game tonight considering the circumstances,” commented Head Coach  Lisa Buckley. “We have played three games in the last five days  which have all gone into overtime. Despite being tired, we battled and played  with a huge amount of heart.”
Heading into their final regular season  matchup of the year, the Lady Buffs are 5-4-5 overall and 3-1-2 in the  AAC.
The Lady Buffs travel to Montreat College (N.C.)  for their final AAC game of the regular season Sunday, Nov. 1, for a 2:30 p.m.  start time.
