Buffs fall to Bryan

Dayton, Tenn. (October 23, 2010) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team fell to conference opponent Bryan College 3-0 away from home on Friday night, snapping the Buffs two-game win streak.
 
   Bryan scored early in the first half on a goal from Bennie Bardales in the fifth minute of the contest. Milligan, however, held the score at 1-0 to end the first half.
 
   Bryan struck again in the second half when senior forward Ricky Angel scored on a pass from midfielder Johannes Müller in the 55th minute. Müller and Angel assisted the next goal by senior midfielder Jacobo Gallardo in the 78th minute, giving Bryan the final score of 3-0.
 
   Defensively, Alexander Haun (Knoxville, Tenn.) recorded seven saves.
 
   “Bryan is a good, hard-working team,” head coach Adam Laney said. “We did some things better tonight than we have done this season and feel like we can play with teams of this caliber if we play well.”
 
   With this loss, the Buffs drop to 7-7 and 4-2 in AAC play.
 
   The Buffs return home for their final home game of the season against nonconference opponent University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Anglin Field. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
