Kingsport, Tenn. (Nov. 12, 2010) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs volleyball team has advanced to the AAC Championship game with a 3-0 victory over Bryan College on Friday morning inside Meadow View Conference and Convention Center. The Lady Buffs will play the winner of the Union vs. Montreat game at 2:30 p.m. today.

In the first set, the Lady Buffs fell behind in the early going, but rallied to tie the set at 17. From there, Milligan was able to jump out to a lead and finish the set off with a 25-23 set victory. The second set saw both teams trade points, but Milligan used a late run to take the set by a score of 25-19. Milligan took the lead midway through the third set and never looked back as they clinched the match with a 25-19 set victory.

Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) had 35 assists, 12 digs and five kills. Former Dobyns-Bennett standout Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) led Milligan with 17 digs, while senior Erin Biddle (Newport, Tenn.) had 16 digs. Kendra Fiddler (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 14 and 10 kills, respectively.
