Berea, Ky. (Nov. 19, 2010) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs basketball team kicked off the Berea Classic with a 82-68 victory over host Berea College on Friday night inside the Seabury Center in Berea, Ky.

Neither team could pull away from the other in the first half as the period ended in a 34-34 tie. However, Milligan outscored the Lady Mounties 48-34 in the second half to take the victory.

Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) added 17 points, while Victoria Dailey (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Alisha Mainer (Flag Pond, Tenn.) had nine and eight points, respectively.

With the win, Milligan improves to 5-3.

The Lady Buffs return to action on the second day of the Berea Classic when they face Wilberforce University. Tipoff inside the Seabury Center is slated for 6 p.m.
