Berea, Ky. (Nov. 20, 2010) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs basketball team wrapped up the Berea College Classic with a 96-73 victory over Wilberforce University inside the Seabury Center in Berea, Ky., on Saturday evening. The Lady Buffs finished the event 2-0 as they defeated host Berea College 82-68 on Friday night.

The Lady Buffs built some separation in the first half as they led 45-35 at the half. The second half saw Milligan outscore Wilberforce 51-38 to put the victory out of reach.

Dorian Freeman (Augusta, Ga.) led Milligan with 19 points and seven rebounds. Alisha Mainer (Flag Pond, Tenn.) had 15 points and six rebounds, while Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) added 11 points and six rebounds. Megan Casteel (Greeneville, Tenn.) added nine points.

With the win, Milligan improves to 6-3 overall.

The Lady Buffs return to action on Monday, Nov. 22, when they travel to Banner Elk, N.C., for a nonconference tilt with NCAA Division II Lees McRae College. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
