No. 20 Buffs fall at Bryan

Dayton, Tenn. (April 9, 2010) --- The Milligan College Buffs took the road and came up short as they fell 9-7 to AAC foe Bryan College in a nine inning contest on Friday evening in Dayton, Tenn.

AAC Pitcher of the Week Aaron Dorriety (Pickens, S.C.) got the start on the mound for the Buffs and earned a no decision for his efforts. In six innings of work, Dorriety gave up ten hits and six runs. Mike Gallo (Peabody, Mass.) was handed the loss in the game as he pitched three innings, and gave up three runs and two hits.

Offensively, Ricky Morgan (Johnson City, Tenn.) led the way for Milligan. Morgan was 3-for-5 from the plate with two runs scored and two RBIs. Wesley Jones (Kingsport, Tenn.) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI.

With the loss, the Buffs fall to 12-4 in AAC play and 23-11 overall, while Bryan improves to 8-8 in conference play and 17-23 overall.

The Buffs and Lions will square off in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Senter Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
