Barbourville, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2010) --- The Milligan College volleyball team came up short in an AAC matchup against Union College on Tuesday night as they fell 3-1 in Barbourville, Ky.

Milligan took the first set by a score of 25-22. Despite a hard fought effort, the Lady Buffs were unable to take another set in the contest as they fell 25-17, 25-19 and 25-10.

Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) had 20 assists and 14 digs. Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 13 digs, while Katelin Henson (Kingsport, Tenn.) had nine digs. Bianca Burnett (Cookeville, Tenn.) and Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had eight and six kills, respectively.

“Unfortunately, we were not firing on all cylinders tonight,” Head Coach Doneva Bays said. “As a team, we did not perform that well. However, we will continue to work and improve as the season goes on.”
