Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 26, 2011) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team was unable to overcome a late Tennessee Wesleyan goal as they fell 2-1 in their regular season finale on Wednesday afternoon at Anglin Field.

  The Lady Bulldogs got on the board early in the game when Kimberly Key scored in the 12
th minute.
Jacklyn Orange (Bagdad, Ky.) knocked in a free kick from
Grace Shawley (Mineral Springs, N.C.) in the 36
th minute to tie the game at one goal apiece.

  The second half was a defensive battle as neither team could score early on in the period. The Buffaloes nearly broke through in the 83
rd minute, but was unable to find the back of the net. Tennessee Wesleyan broke the stalemate in the 86
th minute of the game with a Jordan Hendrix goal. The Buffaloes kept fighting, but unable to add a goal before time expired.

  With the loss, Milligan finishes the regular season with 9-6-1 overall and 5-2 in the AAC.

  The Buffaloes will begin AAC play on Saturday, Nov. 5, with quarterfinal round action. The quarterfinal round will be held at the higher seed, and the Milligan women are guaranteed a home game for that round.
