Milligan College, Tenn. (Dec. 19, 2011) --- The Milligan College men's basketball fell 83-43 to East Tennessee State University inside the MSHA Athletic Center on Monday night in exhibition matchup.

 The Buccaneers took a quick lead in the first half with an early score from Tommy Hubbard. ETSU lead 17-4 at the first media timeout. After the timeout, the Bucs went on a 9-0 run, but
Mickey Woods (Port Arthur, Tex.) responded with a jumper for Milligan.

 From there, ETSU pulled away with a 14-0 run until
Jordan Cross (Bluff City, Tenn.) scored his first 3-pointer for the Buffaloes just before the second media time out, and then made another 3-pointer with 5:23 left in the half. However, that was as close as the Buffaloes could get as they trailed 49-17 at the break.

  Cross led the way with six points in the first half. As a team, Milligan was 7-of-27 (26%) from the floor and 2-of-10 (20%) from behind the arc. ETSU was 16-of-34 (47%) from the field and 4-of-9 (44%) from the 3-point line.

  In the second half, Milligan answered an ETSU run with a run of their own, but they were unable to close the gap any further.

Tyler Devault (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the Buffaloes with 14 points, and
Seth Simmons (Charlotte, N.C.) had five points.
   As a team, Milligan was 18-of-57 (32%) from the floor and 5-of-23 (22%) from behind the arc. ETSU was 28-of-68 (41%) from the field and 8-of-22 (36%) from the 3-point line.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Jan. 3, 2012, at home against AAC foe Bluefield College. Game time is set for 7:30.ÂÂ
