Barbourville, Ky. (Apr. 25, 2011) --- The Milligan College baseball team scored three runs in the closing innings, but came up short to AAC foe Union College on Monday afternoon as they fell 6-4 in a nine-inning contest in Barbourville, Ky.

Dustin Ford (Jonesborough, Tenn.) crossed the plate off of a Corey Hilton (Johnson City, Tenn.) double in the top of the first to give the Buffaloes an early 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs scored three runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth, but the Buffaloes responded with three runs of their own in the top of the seventh to pull within one run. However, that was as close as the Buffaloes could get.

Sean Robinson (Knoxville, Tenn.) got the start and was handed the loss in six innings of work. Robinson allowed five runs, four of which were earned, on five hits with five strikeouts.

With the loss, Milligan drops to 21-27 overall and 10-11 in AAC action.

The Buffaloes return to action on Thursday, April 28, when they travel to Bristol, Tenn., for a doubleheader with King College. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
