Buffaloes baseball bows out of AAC tournament

Kingsport, Tenn. (May 4, 2011) --- The Milligan College baseball team saw their season come to a close on Wednesday evening with a 3-0 loss to Bryan College in the AAC baseball tournament at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.

After Bryan scored the game's first run in the first inning, Milligan was unable to capitalize on opportunities to score in the middle innings. Bryan scored a run in the sixth and eighth to secure the victory.

Jason Trivett (Bristol, Tenn.) was handed the loss in his final game in a Milligan uniform. In seven innings of work, Trivett allowed two earned runs on six hits and recorded seven strikeouts.

At the plate, Dustin Ford (Jonesborough, Tenn.) was 3-for-4, while Wesley Jones (Kingsport, Tenn.) was 2-for-3.

Milligan ends the season with an overall record of 21-29, and finished third in the AAC with a mark of 10-11. The Buffaloes lose five seniors off this season's squad.
