Young Harris, Ga. (Oct. 10, 2012) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short in a nonconference match as they fell 2-1 to NCAA Division II Young Harris College on Wednesday afternoon in Young Harris, Ga.

  The Mountain Lions opened the scoring when Mouhamed Bechir broke free for a goal in the fourth minute of the game. Milligan evened the score at one goal apiece in the 23
rd minute when
Chris Ochieng (Narobi, Kenya) found the left corner of the goal off of a
Jonathon Colson (Johnson City, Tenn.) assist.

  Young Harris jumped back in front in the 33
rd minute when Bechir scored his second goal of the game. The Buffaloes were unable to even the score before the half as they trailed 2-1 at the break.

  In the second half, neither team was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities as neither team was able to score.

  Defensively,
Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded eight saves.

  With the loss, Milligan falls to 8-4 overall and remain 5-1 in conference play.
