Montreat, N.C. (Nov. 9, 2012) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team saw their season come to a close as they fell 3-1 to Tennessee Wesleyan in the semifinal round of the 2012 Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament in Montreat, N.C., on Friday.
 
   The Buffaloes opened the game's scoring in the game's 30^th minute as Teagan Wood (Kingsport, Tenn.) scored after Kelsey Jones (Royersford, Pa.) saw a shot blocked off the Montreat keeper. The Lady Bulldogs evened the score in the 38^th minute, and neither team could add another goal in the closing minutes of the first half as the period ended in a 1-1 tie.
 
   In the second half, Tennessee Wesleyan took a 2-1 lead in the 53^rd minute and extended their lead in the 75^th minute. Despite a hard fought effort, the Buffaloes were unable to close the gap before the end of the game.
 
   The Buffaloes finish the regular season with an overall record of 10-7-1, and they finished the conference regular season with a 6-2-1 record to finish in a tie for third place. Milligan will graduate 11 seniors from this year's squad.
