New York, N.Y. (Dec. 19, 2012) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 101-79 nonconference victory over The King's College on Wednesday night in New York, N.Y.
The Buffaloes jumped out to an early lead as they led 50-39 at the break. Milligan continued to control the game in the second half to take the victory.
Scott Blake (Greeneville, Tenn.) led the way with 23 points, while
Torian Sitton (Hendersonville, N.C.) tallied 21 points.
Morgan Mcleod (Hickory, N.C.) recorded 12 points.
Ignas Palaima (Lithunia) and
Cartree Pettis (Oviedo, Fla.) scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
As a team, the Buffaloes were 42-of-93 (45%) from the field and 9-of-32 (28%) from the 3-point line. The Bulldogs finished the game 24-of-62 (39%) from the field and 9-of-27 (33%) from behind the arc.
With the win, Milligan improves to 8-6 overall.
The Buffaloes return to action on Friday, Dec. 21, as they travel to Liberty University for an exhibition game. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m., in Lynchburg, Va.
