The Buffaloes came out of the gate strong as Corey Hendren (Lexington, S.C.) drained a 3-pointer to put Milligan up 10-4 five minutes into the game.    The Dragons opened the second half on a 5-0 run to quickly jump out into the lead. They maintained that advantage until layups from Marshall Hardy (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Morgan McLeod (Hickory, N.C.) pulled the Buffaloes back within one point, and then another Hardy basket with 8:40 left put Milligan back in front. In the final five minutes, the teams swapped the lead five teams as the Dragons went ahead for good with just over a minute to play.

Hardy led the way with a double-double as he had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Hendren ended the game with 12 points, while Bryant Edwards (Tabor City, N.C.) and McLeod finished with eight points apiece.
