Hilton Head, S.C. (March 8, 2012) --- The Milligan College tennis program participated in the Hilton Head Invitational over spring break as both teams split a pair of matches during the week. The Milligan men fell 6-3 over JRCC and then was leading 2-1 in a suspended match over Catholic University of America (CUA), and the Millign women won 8-1 over CUA and lost 7-2 to Northern Kentucky.

  On the men's side,
Wesley Rice (Knoxville, Tenn.) led the way. Rice was part of a doubles team with
Jonsson (Lysekil, Sweden) that won 9-8 against JRCC, and then he won his singles match 6-2, 6-1. Rice and Jonsson also won a doubles match against CUA.

  On the women's side,
Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) won singles 6-1, 6-3 against Northern Kentucky. Kelly also won her singles and doubles match against CUA 6-1, 6-1.
Albany Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and
Celeste Carpenter (Mountain City, Tenn.) both won a supertiebreaker match against CUA.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Thursday, March 15, with a trip to former AAC foe King College. Match time is set for 2 p.m.ÂÂ
