Milligan men's soccer falls in season opener
Johnson City (August 25, 2012) The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short in their season opener on Saturday evening as they fell 4-0 to No. 3 Southern Poly at Anglin Field.
 
   In a defensive first half, the Hornets scored the half's lone goal as they knocked a goal in the 30th minute. Despite a hard fought effort, Milligan was unable to score the equalizer before the half.
 
   Southern Poly extended their lead quickly to start the second period as they scored two goals 10 minutes into the half. After the Hornets added another goal in the 66th minute, the Buffaloes were unable to cut into the lead before the final horn sounded.
 
   Milligan returns to action on Tuesday, Aug. 28, when they host AAC newcomer St.Andrews. Match time at Anglin Field is slated for 4 p.m.
