Milligan College, Tenn. (Sept. 1, 2012) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team forced overtime but came up short in the extra period as they fell 2-1 to Oauchita Baptist University on the final day of the Union University Soccer Classic on Saturday in Jackson, Tenn.

  The Tigers struck early in the match when Jared Carlin scored unassisted in the second minute of the game. Despite a hard fought effort, the Buffaloes were unable to even the score before half as they trailed 1-0 at the break.

  The second half continued to be a physical game as Milligan was unable to convert on early chances. Milligan finally broke onto the board when
Pete Waller (High Point, N.C.) evened game in the 89
th minute to force overtime. However, the Tigers scored the game winner in the 97
th minute when JT Goodman scored.

Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded three saves.

  With the loss, Milligan moves to 2-2 overall.
