Milligan men's soccer falls to Tusculum

Greeneville, Tenn. (Oct. 2, 2013) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team came up short in nonconference action on Wednesday night as they fell 2-0 to NCAA D-II Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn.
 
   After the Pioneers scored the first goal of the game in the 30th minute, the Buffaloes saw shots by Andre Ottoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Jonathon Watson (Johnson City, Tenn.) go wide of the net. Ottoni had his second shot of the game saved by the Tusculum keeper right before the half as Milligan trailed 1-0 at the break.
 
   In the second half, Bruce Olivier (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Nimely Robertson (Liberia) were unable to score on early shots for the Buffaloes. Tusculum scored their second and final goal in the 78th minute, and the Buffaloes were unable to break onto the board despite a hard fought effort.
 
   Defensively, Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded five saves.

   With the loss, Milligan falls to 2-8 overall.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, as they host Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan. Match time at Anglin Field is set for 3:30 p.m.
