Milligan women's soccer drops AAC conference match-up

Milligan College, TN. (October 5, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team fell 3-0 in Saturday's game against Appalachian Athletic Conference foe, Tennessee Wesleyan College.
 
The Lady Bulldogs jumped to an early two-goal lead in the first half at the 13th and 16th minute markers with goals by Christa Rogers and Samaira Khan.
 
Bulldog's Madelyn Thomas recorded a third goal for Tennessee Wesleyan at the 10 minute mark in the second half. Throughout the remainder of the half, the Buffaloes were unable to seize a couple of close offensive runs.
 
Milligan's Christine Hardine (Elizabethton, TN) recorded three shots while Lauren McInturff (Kingsport, TN) had eight saves.
 
With the loss, Milligan falls to 4-6-1 overall and 3-3 in the AAC.
 
The Buffaloes return to AAC action October 12 as they travel to Columbia College. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. in Columbia, SC.
