Athens, Tenn. (Nov. 26, 2013) â€" The Milligan College men's basketball team was unable to hold off the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan as they fell in a high scoring game 97-90.

The Buffaloes started the first half strong taking an 11-point lead five minutes into the game 20-9. Milligan would continue to keep the lead throughout the first half despite several attempts by Tennessee Wesleyan to tie the game and take the lead. The Bulldogs would enter the half time break trailing 47-41.

The Buffaloes were unable to keep the lead in the second half seeing Tennessee Wesleyan take the lead 51-49 at the 17-minute mark. The Bulldogs would continue to lead for the remainder of the half despite Milligan's offensive pressure. Milligan could not seem to find an answer to the pressing Bulldogs and ultimately fell 97-90.

Mickey Woods (Port Arthur, Texas) recorded a team high of 17 points for the night followed closely by
Cartree Pettis (Oveido, Fla.) and Kurt Brookes (Newport, Tenn.) who each scored 16 points.
Morgan McLeod (Hickory, N.C.) earned 13 points for the Buffaloes and five rebounds.

With the night's loss, the Buffaloes' overall record falls to 7-2 and brings their AAC record to 2-2.

The Buffaloes will return to action Dec. 4 where they will host College of Faith. Game time Wednesday is slated for 7:30 p.m.
