Women's volleyball picks up decisive win on the road

Milligan College, Tenn. (Nov. 5, 2013) â€" The Milligan College women's volleyball team pushed past Virginia Intermont Tuesday Night, 3-1, in Bristol, VA.

In the first set, the Buffaloes were unable to secure the lead resulting in a 25-16 loss. However, the Buffaloes battled back to take the second set by a score of 25-17 as well as winning the third set 25-21. Milligan further secured the win in a fourth set with a 25-21 game victory.

   Senior Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) recorded 16 kills, while Jessica Davenport (Cleveland, Tenn.) had 42 assists and 10 digs. Kaitlyn Round (Billings, MT) had 16 digs and Grace Ann Moorhouse (Morristown, Tenn.) recorded 12 digs. Samantha Bruinius (Chicago, IL) ended the match with 14 kills and 18 digs.
With the win the Buffaloes finish the conference season 10-10 and an overall of 15-21.

The Buffaloes return to action Saturday, Nov. 9th as they travel to Mars Hill. Game time is slated to begin at 5 pm.
