Milligan College, Tenn. (Feb. 27, 2013) --- The Milligan College tennis program saw both teams fall in a nonconference match with Tusculum College on Wednesday at Mathes Tennis Center. The Milligan women fell 7-2 to the Lady Pioneers, while the men fell 8-1 to the Pioneers.

  On the women's side, the duo of
Grace Sarver (Bland, Va.) and
Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.) defeated Taylor Patterson and Erin Mills 8-3 in No. 1 doubles action. In singles action,
Rachel Hodas (Knoxville, Tenn.) picked up a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Mills in No. 3 singles. Sarver narrowly fell at No. 1 singles 6-4, 4-6, 12-10 against Kate Hutchinson.

  The men saw the No. 1 double duo of
Andy Pullen (Kingsport, Tenn.) and
Colin Bumann (Abilene, Tex.) defeated Lukas Winkelmaun and Nic Planchard 9-8. Bumann narrowly fell at No. 2 singles against Jonas Winkelmaun 6-2, 5-7, 10-8.  ÂÂ

  The Milligan women fall to 5-1 on the season, while the men fall to 1-5 overall.

  The Buffaloes are slated to return to action on Saturday, March 2, as they travel to Lindsey Wilson College. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
