Milligan men's tennis upsets No. 23 Georgetown

Hilton Head, S.C. (March 10, 2013) --- The Milligan College men's tennis team recorded a 5-4 upset of No. 23 Georgetown College on Sunday in Hilton Head, S.C. The Milligan women also picked up a 6-3 victory over Georgetown.
 
   On the men's side, Andy Pullen (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Colin Bumann (Abilene, Tex.) picked up an impressive 8-5 victory over Ryne Least and Jacob Loveland at No. 1 doubles. Milligan also saw the duo of Caleb Friddell (Ooltewah, Tenn.) and Mickey Brown (Kingsport, Tenn.) take a 9-7 victory at No. 3 doubles.
 
   In singles action, Pullen picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Gustavo Echeverria at No. 1, while Bumann defeated Zach Thomas 6-2, 6-3. Jackson Lenior (Chattanooga, Tenn.) also picked up a singles victory for the Buffaloes.
 
   On the women's side, the duo of Grace Sarver (Bland, Va.) and Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.) picked up an 8-4 victory over Kaelin Roberts and Alyssa Kennedy at No. 1 doubles. Rachel Hodas (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) also won their doubles match-up by a score of 8-3.  
 
   Hallie Winfrey (Fayetteville, Ga.), Hodas, Kelly and Rainwater all picked up singles victories for the Buffaloes.
 
   Both teams will return to action on Monday, March 19, against Missouri Valley College. Match time in Hilton Head, S.C., is set for 8 a.m.
