Gwinnett, Ga. (March 28, 2013) --- The Milligan College tennis teams split a nonconference match on Thursday night against Georgia Gwinnett in Gwinnett, Ga. The No. 25 Milligan women captured an 8-1 victory, while the men fell 8-1.
  On the women's side,
Grace Sarver (Bland, Va.) won at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Paloma Cartina.
Rachel Hodas (Knoxville, Tenn.) claimed a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Recie Fernandez, while
Sarah Rainwater (Knoxville, Tenn.),
Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and
Hallie Winfrey (Fayetteville, Ga.) all won their singles matches.

  In doubles action, the duo of Sarver and Rainwater captured an 8-6 victory over Shirley Vas and Cartina. K. Kelly and Hodas picked up an 8-5 victory, while
Albany Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Winfrey also won their doubles match.

  On the men's side,
Andy Pullen (Kingsport, Tenn.) and
Colin Bumann (Abilene, Tex.) defeated the duo of Erik Moberg and Tony Kostadinov 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.

  With the win, the Milligan women improve to 11-1 on the season, while the men fall to 3-8 overall.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Friday, March 29, as they complete the two-day Georgia road trip at Appalachian Athletic Conference foe SCAD-Atlanta. Match time is slated for 1:30 p.m.ÂÂ
